Method of Preparation |
¤ Take total
quantity of solvent in a container. Stirr it by propeller type of
stirrer to form a vortex.
¤ Add PROCOAT in a fine stream. If require increase speed to
maintain vortex.
¤ After complete addtion of PROCOAT continue stirring for 45
minutes.
¤ Filter the solution through 200 # bolting cloth. |
¤ Take D.M. water (heated up to 600C) in a container. Stirr it
by propeller type of stirrer to form a vortex.
¤ Add PROCOAT ina fine stream. If require increase speed to
maintain vortex.
¤ After complete addition of PROCOAT continue stirring for 45
minutes.
¤ Filter the solution thourgh 200# bolting cloth. |

Method of Preparation |

¤ Stir it for about 5 minutes.
¤ Now slowly add D.M. Water to it.
¤ Continue stirring for 45 minutes.

Process Variables to Control During Coating
- Revolution Per Minute (RPM) of Pan
- Spray Rate
- Spray pattern and distance between spray gun and tablet bed
- Inlet, Outlet and Bed Temperature
- Air Pressure
Important Hints
- Provide gentle stirring to the coating solution during spraying to
prevent settling of some heavy pigments present in the solution.
- While using PROCOAT WT (white), prepare the solution 24 hrs. advance
to get best whiteness.
- Some time grayish spots develops on tablet during coating due to
friction between pan and tablets. In such condition coat the internal
surface of pan by the same solution, dry the pan and then load the
tablet for coating.
- PROCOAT can be used in any coating machines such as Conventional
Coating Pan, Autocoater (like Ganson, Neocoat, Accella Coata etc.) &
Fluid Bed Coater.
